Our Festival services draw on the rich traditions of Lutheran worship. Services reflect a more liturgical approach filled with a great mix of hymns and choirs. They typically follow the three-year cycle of Bible readings from the Revised Common Lectionary as the source for each week's theme. Services are held in our beautiful 150 year old sanctuary.
We offer two Festival options at two unique times.
8:30 AM -- This is our classic, traditional worship with the beauty and familiarity of our organ, and the hymns you grew up singing in church. Our great choirs are featured prominently at this service. This is a service that inspires awe.
10:05 AM -- Families@Festival keeps a traditional approach to worship while offering a more relaxed, informal atmosphere conducive to families. The fresh and lively tones of the piano and a variety of other instruments are featured prominently at this service. A children's message is offered every Sunday, and the schedule gives parents the choice to worship with their kids until 10:25 or for the whole service, depending on which session of Splash! Kids' Ministry they attend.
Holy Communion is celebrated at both services on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sundays of the month and on all special festival days. Baptisms are scheduled on the 2nd and 4th Sundays as requested. Coffee and fellowship follows each service.
